2009-04-19 Die alten Männer sind zurück!
Just another fasthack production for Breakpoint 2009 with more style but less content.
2008-12-07 Finally another 0a000h has taken place in famous Spiegelberg/Jux. As before it's been a great party with a very cozy atmosphere.
And as always (Tradition verpflichtet ;-) we managed to release a PC demo, which won the competition. Get SteamPFunk now.
Additionally we did a ShitmusicHappy Hardcore entry, which also won the competition. Mostly due to 2 entries in total... You may get this one, too: PFecrets of Love
Thanks again to the Orgas for the party!
2008-09-11 OK, here we go:
We managed to do some demo for Buenzli, just before the deadline. And we even got 2nd with it. Who would've thought!
Get the (really unfinished) Chicken Dance 3(D). Required PS3.0 because of extreme shader lameness ;)
2008-03-30 Finally, we made it. The new engine is more or less stable and the first proof-of-concept demo has been released, Modular Woodpecker. It's not really nice, but at least it works.
Released at Breakpoint 2008 it got 21 of 24 entries in the PC demo compo, not bad for a bad entry.
2006-09-04 We did a very fast-hack demo for Buenzli 2006.
Although it contains Chuck Norris it eventually didn't entertain the crowd too much, how strange ;-)
Maybe you should try it for yourself: Affenschaukel
2006-04-28 I've re-released the shareware version of Let's Hop I did in 1989.
Be sure to grab it: Let's Hop
2006-04-26 I've done it. The final version of Ms.Bulimia is ready for download.
Ms.Bulimia Final
Be sure to get your copy
2006-04-19 Alright, Breakpoint 06 is over.
We released another fine Atari XL/XE game for the 96k game compo, coming in 5/8.
This time a very well known classic, with a new twist.
But see for yourself: Ms. Bulimia
2005-11-14 Let's say a warm goodbye to our guestbook. The provider deactivated the account, probably due to the fact, that nobody signed it.
Whatever, it sucked anyways
2005-10-31 Huge success
We totally ruled the demo compo at Geekcamp 05, throwing back the newly formed "elite"group Goldvotze.
Download our supreme releases:
PC Demo (1/5) Fick Mein Gehirn
Photography (7/8) Kino (gross)
Combined music (3/5) Peaceful Hooligan
2005-09-28 Check out the brand new Mr. Fixy banner on the left side!
2005-08-26 Alright, finally, the FSM did it!
I included a banner list, yieha
2005-08-22 Buenzli 2005 is over. Another great party with mostly weak releases, but - as you all know - the real party is outside ;)
One of those weak releases was our PC demo entry Awake which was done from scratch in about 4 hours. I guess, you'll see *that*
2005-04-06 Another hour of bugfixing passed, so here it is:
The Final version of Shit Alpin 2005
2005-03-30 Breakpoint 2005 - another year, another great party
We've released some stuff, our demo Rudimentary came in 9/28 (in front of farbrausch and matt current).
The animation entry Elektrowald finished 14/17 (in front of one nosfe entry and kosmoplovci), quite a success for a audio/video feedback entry made while enjoying breakfast ;)
Last but not least the 96k game entry Shit Alpin 2005 came 8/8. Maybe we should've added a little note for the bigscreen, that this is an Atari XL/XE entry, not PC, Amiga or C64...
Whatever, we really did have a great time, saw some impressive stuff and are looking forward to the next party.
2004-09-27 Boy, i am a lazy sucker ;)
After a several weeks delay i uploaded Taube Nuss, our Buenzli 2004 demo release.
2004-09-27 Woohaa!
I ported the whole site to PHP&MySQL. Finally got rid of that old, stinking HTML stuff ;)
2004-09-07 Thanks to Torsten Giebl we now have a .DE domain: SquoQuo.de
We also have now deluxe mail addresses, check the member section for details.
Thanx Torsten!
2004-08-08 I gave Adok an interview for Hugi 29, you can download Hugi 29, or read the article online
2004-05-12 dot.tk mail forwarding sucks bigtime. Thus I created a new mail address (which works):
SquoQuo(at)gmx(dot)de
2004-04-25 Breakpoint 2004 (again) was just great! Again many thanx to the orgas!
Our "real" demo Demo Borgir came in 11/22. But we're no lazy guys, so we did another
Fasthack-Aufdiefresse(tm) demo Palais Bauschaumburg,
which (astonishing isn't it) did place only 17/22...
2004-04-24 Boy I suck! When putting up out Breakpoint demos I realized I totally forgot our last-years Buenzli demo! D'Oh!
2004-03-02 0a000h 2004 is over with this results:
- We won the demo compo with Code Red!
- ShitMusic Entry 1 Sandmann by Bugger placed 2/3
- ShitMusic Entry 2 Mayonaise by Yoda+Hopper placed 3/3 :(
Probably Bugger will be pissed forever about the 2nd place ;)
2004-01-06 The all brand new party pics site is online now. Check it out at Party Pics
2003-05-02 Finally I managed to do a C++ project with the adapted version of Apocalypse Inc's texture generator.
Extremely useful for 4k or 64k intros. So just grab it and have fun!
2003-05-01 According to Murphy's Law the final version of SquoQuo's Mansion was not final. If it's run from the DOS shell "by hand"
it crashes. This bug is fixed now, just download the newly compiled fixpack (139kb) and run it over your version.
2003-04-28 We've finished the final of SquoQuo's Mansion. If you already have the party version, simply download the
fixpack (138kb).
Fixes some problems with the gamma slider and a major crash when starting on some computers
2003-04-23 Wooha! Breakpoint was an awesome party. Even the freezing on friday was somewhat funny.
The PC demo compo started on time (!!!) and was packed with 22 good, entertaining demos. So I'm really proud, that we've managed to reach 6th place
with our demo SquoQuo's Mansion. Thanks for their great work to Genetic Gemini and Toxie/AInc.
2003-04-18 Genetic Gemini is now an official member of SquoQuo. We're really proud to welcome you!
SquoQuo's Mansion already features a fucking great EBM soundtrack by Genetic Gemini
2003-04-03 My article Making a 64k Intro appeared in Hugi #26. Finally you can
read it online on our site.
2003-04-03 After the server was down for over a week, most files are corrupted :(
I hope, that all is up and running tomorrow again
2003-01-28 Finally i made the final version of Singing In The Rain. Most bugs fixed, it still seems to not startup on some rare
machines, i'm sorry for that. As i can't test it and the code seems ok, i cannot figure out, what's the problem with that. But all sound bugs and other
stuff is fixed now, some minor design flaws are fixed, too. Get it!
2003-01-26 0a000h 2003 was - again - a big success
All in all a real triumph at a great party. Thanks again to the orgas for a great party!
2002-10-17 I'm doing a new Terragen Gallery
2002-10-15 Almost forgot: We released a 15sec music entry on MS2002. Get the Toxie Jingle now!
2002-10-12 Obviously those Matrox cards (tested on a Millenium G450) aren't able to handle stencil buffer correctly, resulting in a major crash at startup. This
applies to Straßenkötter, Kötterdämmerung, Noir and ADF. I won't fix this, as Matrox cards suck anyway...
2002-10-10 The GUS intros (Chicken Dance, Chicken Dance II, and
Meine Eiche glänzt) can be run more or less correctly under Windoze using GusEmu32.
2002-08-04 Mekka&Symposium 2002 is over. Great party, (partly) fucked up PC demo compo and we came in
17th. Taking the "very few" entries into account, and the fact, that we were shown in the second half (when nearly all got to
sleep) this is a pretty good result.
2002-04-30 Panda got kicked out because of extreme unreliability. Sorry Panda
2002-04-27 If you've got problems running Straßenkötter (especially on TNT1 or
TNT2 cards) try installing GLSetup. For Genetic Gemini it worked...
2002-04-18 We're celebrating a double-anniversary:
- SquoQuo is (believe it or not) 10 years old
- We were for the 5th time at Mekka&Symposium
So, congratulations to ourselves ;)
2002-04-18 Finally i managed to upload Straßenkötter.
Check the screenshots at Releases.
2002-04-17 Straßenkötter was shown on the "Demodienstag" 16.04. on NBC Giga.
At least a part of it... Phatt
2002-02-24 The site has moved. Tokelau is a great country.
2002-01-31 There is a fix for older cards for Kötterdämmerung.
Use it only, if you experience problem after 3 minutes!
2002-01-27 Lotsa stuff:
2001-11-17 The editor is available now as version 1.01,
just a minor bugfix, but it should eliminate the nasty float conversion bugs. Especially outside germany you should try
this due to different decimal separator handling now.
2001-10-03 I uploaded my 2nd Terragen gallery
2001-08-15 In Hugi 23 my article about writing a scripting engine appeared.
It's available online here.
2001-08-11 I've put up a new section Terragen showing my Terragen pictures
2001-08-09 The recent redesign killed all frames...
2001-08-08 Finally there is an emulator for Acorn Archimedes. So we can (proudly) present our early work...
Check Releases before 1998
2001-06-07 The first release of our Demo Editor is available as Freeware.
You can get an example project under C++ as well
Further infos on the editor page
2001-06-07 There's a second Servicepack (2kB) for Obs
Fixes a problem with the "Show stats" option
2001-04-28 Added the servicepack for Obs
Fixes some bugs, see fixes.txt for further infos
2001-04-28 Finally i had some time to update the page.
Counter's working now, also our guestbook...
Yippieh!
2001-04-19 Mekka/Symposium 2001 is over. Again a mid-field result :-(
Anyway, successful party, lotta fun...
Check it out: Obs
2000-06-06 After a few further bugfixes the service pack is really finished.
2000-05-21 Finally i managed to do a redesign of this pages...
You can get the new service pack 1 for Noir, i.e. an update of the final version.
Actually the final version wasn't that final. But in the tradition of Microsoft we released this service pack ;-)
